Iraqi National Security Adviser: Terrorism still poses a threat to the whole world

On Monday, the Iraqi National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, considered that terrorism still poses a threat to the whole world, stressing the need to dry up its sources financially, logistically and in the media.

This came during his reception at his office, the new Japanese ambassador in Baghdad, Futoshi

Matsumoto, according to a statement received by the Baghdad News Agency.

Al-Araji welcomed the new Japanese ambassador in Baghdad, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels were also discussed, in addition to discussing developments in the political and security situation in the region, as well as the security strategy in Iraq, and the relationship

with the countries of the Middle East and Asia.

Al-Araji said, “Iraq has triumphed over terrorism, and there is nothing that enables terrorist elements to achieve their criminal goals.”

For his part, the Japanese ambassador affirmed his country’s support for the Iraqi government, wishing it success in its tasks.

He pointed to the importance of Iraq’s location and role in the region, stressing that its stability is the stability of the entire region.
