Today, Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani stressed the importance of consolidating societal coexistence among the components of the country, while expressing his “assessment” of the role of the Christian spectrum in representing the Iraqi cultural heritage.
Al-Sudani’s media office said, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani received, today, Monday, His Beatitude the Chaldean Patriarch of Iraq and the scholar Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako and his accompanying delegation.”
During the meeting, Al-Sudani expressed “the government’s appreciation and attachment of great importance to consolidating societal coexistence among the spectra of the Iraqi people, which is the pillar of civil peace, and the basis of constructive citizenship that supports the security of Iraqis and the stability
of their living and social conditions.”
Al-Sudani expressed his “assessment of the role of the Iraqi Christian spectrum in representing the cultural heritage and historical communication of the people of Iraq, and his high evaluation of the diversity of Iraqi society. He also directed his sovereignty to facilitate and follow up on issues related to a number of needs and files that were raised during the meeting.”
